Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is a 332-bed not for profit hospital. Founded by Garnett Radin, R.N., in 1932, the hospital features all private rooms and is the largest private-sector employer in Indian River County, with over 2,000 employees. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and a number of departments and services have received state and national certification. The Welsh Heart Center offers cardiac surgery, angioplasty, electrophysiology and a full array of cardiac services. The outstanding cardiac surgery outcomes have earned it recognition as one of the top cardiac surgery programs in America by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. The Scully-Welsh Cancer Center has a personalized, team-based approach to cancer care with navigation services and a patient-centered facility.
