In 1948, it was one of the first three companies granted a license by the United States Department of Agriculture to provide mosquito abatement solution in pressurized containers. Chase was the first company to formulate and manufacture an antiperspirant deodorant in an aerosol can. It was the first to package natural starch in aerosol form, the first to develop hair spray, the first to manufacture spray paint. Chase provides its own national-brand equivalent formulas to wholesalers and retailers across the country and around the world.
