What Is Catalyst Learning?
Catalyst Learning is a workplace education and distance learning company. Our vision is to be a national force in the delivery of education, via technology, to adults in the workplace. From our state-of-the-art facilities in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, Catalyst Learning provides a variety of products and services to support that vision. Like all successful businesses, Catalyst Learning has modified its offerings throughout the years to meet customer demand. When my father and I founded the business in 1993, all of our customers used the delivery systems available at that time - analog video and satellite communications. Now everything is digital and most of our work is distributed on-line. Throughout this eleven-year evolution one thing has remained constant - our desire to help customers develop cost-effective, technology-based systems that meet their learning needs. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege of working with organizations as varied as Outback Steakhouse, the U.S. Department of Labor, Norton Healthcare, Jewish Hospital HealthCare Systems, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marriott Hotels, and many others. Currently, Catalyst Learning is offering an array of new products. These new products and services are e-learning solutions for commercial customers, and include our Learning Management System and Custom Content Authoring for training courses. The launch of the Phase 2 School at Work regional program and implementation of Norton Healthcare’s Learning Management System (LMS) are major milestones for 2004. The LMS is a software database that manages and tracks employee training and career development across an organization. Norton Healthcare’s 9,200 employees will use the new system to access online course work, schedule classroom training and develop individual career and learning plans.
