Carnival Australia is part of Carnival Corporation & plc and represents the world's most popular cruise brands including Carnival Cruise Lines, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises, P&O Cruises World Cruising, Princess Cruises and Seabourn. Together these brands represent approximately 80 per cent of the Australian and New Zealand cruise market. Carnival Australia has led record industry growth, made cruising the fastest growing sector of Australian and New Zealand tourism and made our region the fastest growing cruise market in the world. Today Carnival Australia represents three homeported brands in Australia - Carnival Cruise Lines, P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises - as well as another four international cruise brands that visit the region annually -Cunard, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises World Cruising and Seabourn. With a local cruising history of 80 years, P&O Cruises is Australia's most loved cruise line. In November 2015 two new ships - Aria and Eden - joined our existing three ships, making P&O Cruises the largest homeported fleet in Australia. Princess Cruises entered the market in 2002 with Pacific Princess' six-month deployment. Since then Princess Cruises has grown to five year-round home-ported ships and in 2013 entered the Asian market with Sun Princess' part-time deployment to Japan. Carnival Cruise Line saw the great growth potential in the Australasian market and launched Carnival Spirit in October 2012 and Carnival Legend in late 2014. We employ 400 plus people shoreside across multiple disciplines including marketing, sales, pricing and yield, customer service, corporate affairs, finance and IT, with most employees based in our modern open plan North Sydney Head Office. As the leading voice of the cruise industry, we are focused on seeing more than two million Australians take a cruise holiday by 2020 (one million was reached 6 years ahead of target).
