The concentrate contains approximately 29% copper metal and is exported to smelters in India, China and South East Asia. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine provides direct employment for over 350 people, the majority of whom are based in the local township of Cobar. At CSA Mine, we work hard to create a safe working environment for everyone who enters our site and we are committed to operating to the highest safety standards. Copper ore is extracted by underground mining methods using open stopes with backfill. Ore is hoisted to the surface treatment plant where it is processed using semi-autogenous grinding and froth flotation to produce a high quality concentrate. The operation is highly mechanised and uses the latest technology to mine and process ore in the most productive and cost effective manner.keywords:N/A
