What Is CONNECT Centre?

CONNECT is the world leading Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) research centre for Future Networks and Communications. Our mission is to research, develop and innovate new solutions to the many communications challenges facing society. New broadband architectures, new cellular technologies and the Internet of Things form the core of our work. CONNECT is funded under the SFI Research Centres Programme and is co-funded under the European Regional Development Fund. Industry is also responsible for a significant portion of CONNECT funding. CONNECT, headquartered at Trinity College Dublin, brings together 10 academic institutions and 38 partner companies to carry out world-class research projects covering all aspects of networks and communications. The companies range from large multi-national ICT players to smaller and emerging indigenous companies.
