What Is Britten-Norman?

Britten-Norman is the UK's EASA A2 approved aircraft manufacturer. We have designed and built aircraft and aircraft systems for over 60 years .   The Britten-Norman Islander is one of the world's most successful and enduring aircraft designs. The aircrafts international acclaim is attributed to its exemplary performance as a high capacity, multi-role, high frequency, rough terrain, short take off and landing platform. With its ability to operate in some of the world's harshest environments, the Islander has an outstanding reputation for superior performance and high operating reliability with exceptionally low through-life and direct operating costs. The Islanders impressive safety record is derived from its twin Lycoming engine reliability along with its sturdy, simple design and ease of operation.   Building on the pedigree of the Islander, the next generation Defender 4000 blends the simplicity of single pilot operation with the capability and feel of a small airliner. The increased capacity and gross weight allow the aircraft to be equipped with a broad array of the latest sensors and technologies, at the same time increasing the maximum endurance of the aircraft by up to 100% over the Islander.   With facilities in Asia, America and Europe Britten-Norman is able to provide in-service support customers across 120 countries. With a wide breadth of approvals, the Company specialises in bringing the latest aerospace technologies to market.
