Over the years, the hotel has been host to several important events, famous guests and royal dinners, and is now currently closed for a major refurbishment over 2,5 years, worth approx. 150 mill. dollars. The Britannia will re-open as an international 5 star hotel with 257 brand new rooms and suites, conference facilities and a beautiful spa. The hotel will have six independent restaurants and bars, ranging from fine dining to casual non-formal dining. Our owner has a dream of recreating the unique position The Britannia Hotel had in its glory days, and to make this hotel one of the absolute best in Scandinavia when it re-opens in 2019.
