Since 1907, educators at Purdue University have been teaching communication theory and strategies. With the formation of the Department of Communication in 1947, innovators in the discipline of communication established the foundation for Purdue’s more than 70-year track record for world-changing research that moves the world forward. Lamb School undergrads choose from concentrations in General Communication, Corporate Communication, Human Relations, Mass Communication and Public Relations and Strategic Communication. The Lamb School offers tailored on-campus Master's and Ph.D. programs that fit each graduate student’s academic interests and professional goals with concentrations in Health Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Communication, Public Relations and Media, Technology and Society. Our online M.S. program is designed for busy professionals who can choose to focus on Integrated Communication and Advertising or Strategic Communication and Public Relations. The people of the Lamb School make us practically amazing as we continue our tradition of research and teaching excellence by not only building on the work of the scholars and educators who have come before us but by finding our own paths and solving problems that haven’t even been named yet.
