Bowne Management Systems is a leading provider of ESRI software solutions for government and private clients throughout the United States. Our "ESRI Solutions Group" is a team of dedicated professionals with extensive experience in the installation and implementation of complex GIS environments consisting of ArcGIS, ArcSDE, and ArcIMS. Members of this team have installed and used ESRI products with different versions of Oracle and SQL Server on both the Windows and UNIX platforms. BMS has also successfully addressed the more complex needs of many clients to upgrade existing versions of ESRI software and underlying databases. Our personnel have implemented systems utilizing the latest technologies including Storage Area Networks (SANs), Network Attached Storage (NAS), clustering, and load balancing to achieve the highest levels of performance for our clients. BMS maintains multiple in-house configurations for development and production environments in order to facilitate the testing and implementation of unique client solutions. Installations range from small villages such as Garden City, NY with a database in the 10 to 20 megabyte range to the New York City Department of Transportation whose configuration consists of Microsoft Clustered Services and over 50 gigabytes of raster and vector data, including a complete set of digital orthophotos for the entire City. An ESRI Business Partner since 1999, BMS was named as a 2005 ESRI Foundation Partner. The firm was also a Business Partner of the Year in 2000.
