Blackpool and The Fylde College is a Higher Education establishment which provides degrees awarded by Lancaster University, currently ranked in the top 1% of universities worldwide. It is also a leading provider of Further Education and has been judged ‘Outstanding’ by national inspection body Ofsted.\r\n\r\nAt our University Centre in Central Blackpool, we offer over 60 university programmes, all designed with employment in mind to ensure your career gets off to a good start. Our Higher Education provision has been QAA commended which affirms that our students are given the best possible learning experience. Our £10 million University Centre in Blackpool offers first-class facilities and further strengthens our ability to attract students not only from the local vicinity, but also internationally.\r\n\r\nWe work closely with schools on the Fylde coast, providing programmes for over 600 14-16 year-olds who come into the College and study with us every week. Then there are the 3000 full-time 16-19 year-olds who study further education courses in a tremendously wide range of areas ranging from Aviation Engineering to Health Care and Early Years.\r\n\r\nSeveral thousand adult students study with the college, many of them supported by their employers on courses delivered in the workplace.
