What Is Bacchus Capital Advisers?

We are an independent investment and merchant banking boutique providing specialist strategic and corporate finance advice to clients in the resources sector. Bacchus Capital Advisers brings together senior professionals with extensive strategic and corporate finance experience and expertise in the investment banking and mining sectors over many years. Led by Peter Bacchus, former Global Head of Mining & Metals at Jefferies and Morgan Stanley, our core team consists of ten professionals, plus a five-person advisory board, with representatives in the UK, USA and Australia. We have over 100 years of combined investment banking and industry experience navigating some of the most challenging environments in the global mining sector with a proven track record of both value-add and loyalty to the clients / companies we have faced and worked for. Our team has led some of the mining industry’s most transformational transactions, including the defence and sale of WMC in Australia; the post crisis recapitalisation of Anglo American; the defence of Rio Tinto; the bond financing to build Fortescue in WA; the pre-IPO funding, IPO, and merger of Glencore, First Quantum’s contested public takeover of Inmet; and the IPO of Yellow Cake plc, an AIM listed investment vehicle providing investors pure exposure to the uranium price. We have unrivalled expertise in dealing with complex transactional and financing situations, moments of corporate financing or strategic stress and public market M&A, in particular contested M&A and defence.
