B and B Transportation, Inc. is a family owned school bus company that was started in August 1989 by Brad and Beth Cohen. The company began with one bus and a home office. It has since grown to 70 buses. B and B Transportation, Inc. prides itself on the terrific working relationship it has with area schools. It is a small school bus company with hands-on management. Brad and Beth Cohen are always available to parents, administrators or any customer that has a question or concern. B and B Transportation, Inc. provides school transportation to thousands of students daily for both private and public school systems. Hopkins School in New Haven, Ezra Academy in Woodbridge, Hamden Hall Country Day School in Hamden and Cheshire Academy in Cheshire are a few of the private schools that chose B and B Transportation, Inc. to transport their students. Since 2002 prestigious Yale University chose B and B Transportation, Inc. as their exclusive bus company for their Athletic Department’s Transportation. Public school transportation is provided to the Amity Regional School District #5, Beecher Road School in Woodbridge, Bethany Community School and Wintergreen Inter-District Magnet School in Hamden. Another area of expertise is special education transportation. B and B Transportation, Inc. employees have been transporting special needs students for many years. Our employees are aware of the individual needs of certain students and special care is given to each situation to meet the needs of each family. B and B Transportation, Inc. also have buses for charter trips. Schools or groups can reserve these buses needing transportation for as few as 6 people or as many as 71 passengers per vehicle. School buses are used for field trips, sports trips, bar and bat mitzvahs, family outings, wedding, etc. All employees at B and B Transportation, Inc. are fully licensed by the State of Connecticut and meet all State of Connecticut regulations, which includes ongoing classroom training, continual on the road training and random drug and alcohol testing. B and B Transportation, Inc. vehicles are inspected by the State of Connecticut on a annual basis as required by law. Each vehicle is enrolled in an ongoing preventative maintenance program and a written procedure program that drivers can use to report any problems they have while on the road. All mechanical work performed on B and B Transportation, Inc. vehicles, is performed on site by State of Connecticut certified mechanics.
