What Is BNBI?
BNBI is the Battelle National Biodefense Institute, LLC. BNBI manages and operates the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) as a federally funded research and development center for the Department of Homeland Security. The NBACC mission is to provide the scientific basis for characterization of biological threats and bioforensic analysis to support attribution of their planned or actual use. As a nonprofit company, BNBI promotes science, engineering, technology, and math (STEM) education. The Frederick Chamber of Commerce recognized BNBI with its Benchmark Award for our STEM education program as well as our outstanding commitment to the quality of education in the greater Frederick community.
