What Is Australian Wool Network?
Australian Wool Network, is a privately owned, Australian company, specialising in wool marketing. It is Australia's third largest wool broker and the largest independent wool broker. AWN markets in excess of 235,000 bales of wool across Australia for some 5,000 woolgrowers and in more recent times has also established a wool buying division in Victoria and South Australia. The company's core business is wool and it continues to build on this by seeking to establish new marketing programs and businesses that deliver genuine value to its wool growing client base. In November 2014 AWN delivered on this commitment and purchased a new business - Hysport; a whole of garment knitwear manufacturing business based in Melbourne with retail fashion brands MerinoSnug and Emaroo. Hysport produces a range of knitwear products consisting of merino/possum MerinoSnug, merino 100% and merino/blends e.g alpaca, cashmere, silk, etc. AWN's investment in Hysport enables it to expand on it's long held vision, from wool growers to wool processors, by extending it's wool marketing services right through the wool processing pipeline - from wool growers to consumers.
