Aroundtown is the largest commercial real estate company in Germany and 4th largest in Europe (based on market cap). The Company invests in top tier cities and metropolitans of Germany, Netherlands and London. The focus of Aroundtown's business model is buying, repositioning and optimizing office and hotel properties. The Company's total asset value is €17 billion, equity €8.5 billion, and funds from operations (FFO1) of €380 million. The net profit in 2017 was €1.5 billion. The majority of the properties are located in the inner-circle of Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich Cologne, Hamburg, Amsterdam, London and other leading metropolitan areas. Approximately half of the portfolio is offices, the remaining is primarily hotels and residential (through 38% holdings in Grand City Properties). Aroundtown owns over 100 hotels, among those strategic hotels such as Hiltons in Berlin/London/Dublin/Edinburgh, Interconti Frankfurt, Sheraton Rome, Crown Plaza Berlin/Frankfurt/Dusseldorf-Neus and Mercure Munich. The current global rating is BBB+ by S&P, which is the best rating in German commercial real estate. The highest credit rating is due to the strong business profile and the conservative financial policy with loan-to-value (LTV) of 37%.). Aroundtown is the largest issuer in the European capital markets over the last 3 years and has raised €11 billion in equity and bonds in 2016-2018, working with leading global banks such as JPM, BAML, DB, GS, MS, Citibank, UBS, SocGen. The company's stock was listed on the Euronext Stock Exchange in mid 2015 at a price per share of €3.2 and market cap of €1.5 billion. As of mid 2018, the Company is listed on the Frankfurt Prime Standard and is included in the MDAX index, at a price per share of €7.8 and market cap of €8.6 billion. The Company's IPO is considered the most successful in European real estate in the last 3 years, with 2.5 fold increase in share price plus annual distribution of dividends.
