What Is Alyeska Resort?
Alyeska Resort, located 40 miles south of Anchorage, is Alaska's only year round resort and is anchored by the world class 304-room Hotel Alyeska. With 1,400 acres and over 630 inches of annual snowfall per year, Alyeska is home to Alaska's largest and most developed ski and snowboard area with ski-in/ski-out accessibility and nine state-of-the-art lifts including the Alyeska Tramway. Alyeska Resort is also home to several fine dining restaurants, highlighted by the mountain-top award winning Seven Glaciers, as well as the luxurious Spa at Alyeska and the Anchorage Golf Course at the base of the scenic Chugach Mountain Range. 2007 marks Alyeska's 50th anniversary and the U.S. Alpine National Championships which are being held at Alyeska on March 27 - April 3.
