A group of highly skilled and trained experts from various fields including Plasma Physics, Space Propulsion Systems, Engineering and Business have embarked on a journey to explore new frontiers that aims to establish Singapore's place in the niche space industry. This will be done through realizing miniaturized propulsion systems, solutions for satellite design, and end-to-end remote sensing services for data acquisition and analytics through a network of satellites in orbit. Our strategy 1. Commercialization and sales of highly efficient and miniaturized integrated plasma propulsion modules - Our thrusters available at a few different operational regimes will be able to complement both in-orbit space missions, as well as research on ground-testing facilities. Depending on the payload and size of the satellite, propulsion systems are available at almost every entry point for "plug and play" simplicity in operation. 2. Commercialization of highly functional components for electric propulsion - Our team of highly skilled Scientists and Engineers have come up with highly functional low current cathodes and other propulsion related modules/components for rapid integration and employment onboard payloads to be deployed in space, or to complement research on ground-testing facilities. 3. End-to-end service provision for remote sensing and data analytics - Propulsion enabled cube/smallSats allow for a plethora of applications to be enabled with a suite of sensors equipped on satellites in low-earth orbit flying in formation. Aliena offers solutions to commercial partners to realize modes of remote sensing in a radically new domain in space. Aliena aims to bridge the technological gap to give additional modes of sensing to improve business models and in-situ monitoring methods for highly disruptive inclusions to businesses that may not even realize the potential offered through remote sensing in space.
