What Is Alcon Components?
Alcon brakes are experts in the design, development & manufacture of specialist brakes & clutches. Our applications include motorsport, performance road car, specialist defence, armoured protection and low carbon vehicle sectors.\r\n\r\nFor 30 years, Alcon has been providing brake and clutch solutions to professional teams competing in the world's prime motorsport series including F1, NASCAR, World Rally, Indy Car, and Touring Cars; as well as to amateur competitors. Alcon is a technical partner to the Volkswagen Racing and Citroën Sport World Rally teams, supporting Sebastien Loeb’s dominance of the WRC in recent years. \r\n\r\nOn racetracks in the US, Alcon brakes has achieved a 10-year run of IRL title wins and, in NASCAR, Alcon provided the stopping power for nearly half of Sprint Cup race winners in 2013. Elsewhere, Alcon is proud to be the official supplier of brakes for the new FIA-sanctioned, all-electric Formula E series, and counts the motorsport arms within Audi, Citroën, Peugeot, Skoda and Volkswagen among its customers.\r\n\r\nToday, Alcon applies its know-how beyond racing, and some 50% of its activity is with prestige road car OEMs, builders of defence, armoured and other special vehicles, and the growing field of low carbon transport. Adept at developing bespoke solutions that meet the stipulations of mainstream OEMs, but at a cost that can be borne by low volume runs, Alcon works with some of the world’s most prestigious marques including Audi, Bentley, Jaguar Land Rover and Noble. Our speciality work spans armoured SUVs, tracked and wheeled military vehicles and hybrid supercars.\r\n\r\nDelivering solutions in volumes from a 1-off to 20,000 per year, Alcon's customers account for the fastest response and the most attentive levels of service – a hard-won reputation that underpins our growth. With a wealth of experience, backed by a well-equipped development and manufacturing facility, Alcon is developing the innovative brakes and clutches of the future.
