Advantage Metals Recycling, LLC (AMR) is a wholly owned venture of Cincinnati-based, The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ), one of USA’s largest scrap metal companies. Our parent Company’s rich history began in 1885. We possess a wealth of experience and an entrepreneurial spirit that is vital to success in the scrap recycling industry. DJJ is also part of Nucor Corporation’s family of companies. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nucor is the leading purchaser of ferrous scrap and the largest recycler in North America. Advantage Metals Recycling (AMR) was formed in 1977 as Galamba Metals Group, headquartered in Kansas City. Galamba Metals Group was purchased and renamed Advantage Metals Recycling in 2008 and is wholly owned by The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ), based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Today we are the largest scrap recycling company in Kansas and Missouri, and operate 11 facilities. We buy all types of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals at each of our recycling locations, with a team of specialists who continually monitor market conditions to establish fair, competitive prices.
