What Is AHBL?
AHBL was founded in 1969. Our staff of 90 works together on projects of local and regional significance, serving both public and private clients from offices in Tacoma, Seattle, and Spokane. AHBL is committed to creative design, cost effective solutions, capturing and maintaining the sense of community, and integrating our area's natural and cultural heritage into our ever-changing urban landscape. Our relationship-based firm enjoys a reputation for honesty, integrity, and making our clients' needs our number one priority. In June 2005, AHBL and Martens/Chan Consulting Engineers merged to combine our Seattle resources to provide high quality multidisciplinary services to our Puget Sound-area clients. Seattle-based Martens/Chan has provided structural engineering services to many of Puget Sound's most prestigious architectural firms as well as major medical centers. The merging of our two firms results in an expanded Seattle presence for AHBL and additional support and services for Martens/Chan.
