What Is ADAPT Centre?

ADAPT is Ireland's global centre of excellence for digital content technology. Since 2007, CNGL (www.cngl.ie) has been delivering disruptive innovations in digital media and intelligent content. From January 2015, CNGL and new partners are evolving to form ADAPT. ADAPT research and technologies enable businesses in all sectors to harness global digital content and media technologies to achieve unprecedented customer and community engagement. Dynamic digital content interactions are key to valuable customer engagement and enhanced global reach and revenue. ADAPT innovations can help to analyse, personalise and deliver digital content more effectively to drive business in the digital age. ADAPT has engaged with more than 140 companies in Ireland and beyond, ranging from indigenous start-ups to multinational enterprises. We work closely with industry partners to help deliver the right content to the right customer at the right time, in the right language, in the right format and on the device of their choice. ADAPT's new €50 million research programme focuses on: - Analysing media, content and customer interactions to enhance communication, customer engagement and satisfaction - Enhancing global reach via innovative machine translation - Transforming and delivering personalised content - Extracting actionable knowledge from all forms of digital content and user interactions - Enabling innovative customer engagement across multimodal media (speech, video, image, text) to enhance the user experience Supported by Science Foundation Ireland, ADAPT combines the expertise of researchers at four universities (Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University, University College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology) with that of its industry partners to produce ground-breaking digital content innovations.
