The Franklin School of Innovation (FSI), a 6th through 12th grade school, is dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders, capable of solving problems and participating effectively and ethically as local and global citizens. Through challenging academics, real-world learning, and community engagement, our will students discover their potential, develop persistence, and recognize the value of others.
FSI will be an Expeditionary Learning (EL) school. EL is a proven instructional model, based on research from the Harvard School of Education and the Outward Bound program. By partnering with Expeditionary Learning (EL), The Franklin School joins a network of over 150 schools, 4,000 teachers, and 45,000 students from all across the United States.
The Franklin School of Innovation opened in August, 2014 and is located in the Asheville/Buncumbe County NC area. Currently we have approximate 480 students grades 5 - 12. We employ more that 40 talented teachers.
