About
The Center for Collaborative Education (CCE) is a nonprofit organization established in 1994 to promote innovative models of schools and to engage in related activities that increase justice and opportunity for all learners. CCE employs a set of well-defined, multi-disciplinary programs, services and tools designed to help educators promote and deliver rigorous, culturally responsive and relevant instruction and assessment that is aligned to curriculum and that meets or exceeds College and Career Ready Standards and deeper learning competencies. Our supporting activities include the production of provocative, data-driven content, and advocacy that drives reform and meaningful social change. Mission Statement The mission of the Center for Collaborative Education (CCE) is to transform schools to ensure that all students succeed. We believe that schools should prepare every student to achieve academically and make a positive contribution to a democratic society. To achieve a vision of a world where every student is college- and career-ready and prepared to become a compassionate, contributing global citizen, CCE works at the school, district and state levels in New England and beyond to: - Create learning environments that are collaborative, democratic and equitable; - Build capacity within districts and schools to adopt new practices that promote collaborative, democratic and equitable learning for students and educators; and - Catalyze systemic change at the school and district levels through district- and state-level policy and advocacy support
