Silver-Line Plastics Corporation was founded in 1962. Its first home was a small building located next to the Woodfin Grocery at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Elkwood Avenue in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. The business soon outgrew these premises and in 1965, Silver-Line moved into a new building at Chestnut Ridge Avenue, situated within a stone's throw of Charlie and his wife, Angie's, first home in Woodfin. In 1972, the business was to move again, this time to its present site at 900 Riverside Drive on the banks of the French Broad River. Over the next 30 years this site has grown to include 240,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space on 35 acres.
