Danko Emergency Equipment Co. was established in 1974 by Daniel Kreikemeier at 304 Range Line Road in Snyder, NE. Having outgrown that building, Danko broke ground in 2002 at the current location of 302 E. 4th Street. A larger, state of the art 35,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility was built. In 2015, because of continued growth 8,000 sq. ft. was added to the existing building. Danko designs and manufactures Pumpers, Tanker/Pumpers, Tanker/Tenders, Mini-Pumpers, Quick Attacks, Rescues, Wildland/ Flatbed, Skid Units and ARFF vehicles. Danko sells only those products which have been manufactured using the most innovative construction methods and materials available, creating the standards for the highest quality and most effective fire apparatus on the market today. Danko's factory service center is staffed with EVT certified service technicians ready to support all the brands represented. Danko operates two mobile service vehicles each staffed with a qualified mobile service technician. They cover the areas of Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota and Kansas. The mobile service unit is available for remote service calls and warranty work. Danko mobile service units offer annual service contracts for both apparatus and equipment. In order to bring our customers a full scope of firefighting, rescue, and emergency vehicles, Danko represents HME Ahrens-Fox, Demers Ambulances, Crestline Ambulances, MedWerks and Maintainer Custom Bodies. Danko believes that “The HARDER you look…the BETTER we look!†and after shopping around Danko customers have found that the quality of work and the service after the sale make the Danko product the only product needed in their fire department.
