Tuber is an offshoot of its parent company, Potato Productions. Established in 2007, Tuber's core business is to provide valuable editorial and design consultancy for clients on print, digital and mobile platforms. In 2015, Tuber won the Singapore Design Award for the rebranding of its logo and was named one of Asia's Top Design Practices by the Design Business Chamber Singapore. One of our earliest clients was the then Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) for its publication, FACES Inside MCYS. The client wanted a publication that used large photographs and minimal copy to tell its stories. Based on the name “Faces†and the brief, Tuber created an iconic look for its cover using a bold, close-up shot and designed a visually-attractive publication that won the Bronze award in the Graphic Design Category at the Singapore Design Awards 2010. In 2010, we were tasked to revamp the flagship publication of the Singapore Public Service Division, Challenge magazine (www.challenge.gov.sg). The successful revamp of the magazine helped Tuber and its client to win awards at the international Content Marketing Awards 2012 (formerly Magnum Opus Awards). They are: Silver awards for Best Government Publication and Best How-To Article, Bronze award for Best Infographics and an Honourable Mention for Best Interview or Profile. We have since been re-awarded the contract for the third time. In 2011, we won the tender to produce the Ministry of Education's teachers' digest, Contact. The revamp also helped Tuber and its client to win awards at the Content Marketing Awards 2012. They are: Bronze award for Most Improved Design and an Honourable Mention for Best Use of Illustration. Tuber won the new Contact tender in January 2013 and again for the year 2015. Besides providing custom content for periodicals, Tuber also works on ad hoc projects.
