Our vision is to retain educators who dismantle the cradle to prison pipeline by establishing a cradle to career pipeline for boys of color.
Lewis and Toldson (2013) identified four reasons why male educators of color leave education: 1. Lack of Mentorship 2. Lack of Professional Development 3. Career Opportunities 4. Barriers to Navigate the Profession. With this in mind, our goal is to see 90% of PG educators return back into the education sector better prepared to impact all students and 90% of boys of color in Code Orange matriculate through their K-12 experience prepared for college and career opportunities.
