About
Our Mission: REMEMBER the fallen; HONOR those who serve; TEACH our children the value of freedom. Overview: 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 2007 as an extension of The Arlington Wreath Project, with over 100 participating locations in all 50 states, and 24 national veteran cemeteries on foreign soil. What began in 1992 with a trailer load of wreaths, decorated by volunteers and laid at the graves of fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery (See: The Arlington Story - How the Arlington Wreath Project was born) has now become a national organization with over 1400 participating locations - all focused on the mission to Remember - Honor - and Teach. With 30,000 wreaths placed in 2007, the growth that WAA has seen has been attributed to the value of the mission-Remember the Fallen; Honor Those Who Serve; and Teach Our Children the Value of Freedom. This mission resonates in the patriotic hearts of our volunteers. In 2017, 1,565,000 wreaths were placed at over 1,400 locations by 2,000,000 volunteers... Wreaths Across America could not continue to grow and thrive due to the overwhelming amount of support from our volunteers. Our volunteers are our "boots on the ground" who push the mission forward on a daily basis. WAA is non-denomination, non-political, and all inclusive. There are many ways to get involved in the WAA mission, whether by becoming location leaders, a fundraising partner or by volunteering on National Wreaths Across America Day. Our fundraising programs are designed to tell the WHY...WHY is the mission so important, WHY is it important to highlight the service and sacrifices of our military...WHY Wreaths Across America. Through the simple placement of a wreath these answers can be felt at the 1,400+ cemeteries on WAA day. Through the WAA sponsorship fundraising program WAA has given back over $8,000,000 to our fundraising groups through the $5 back program. WAA has had tremendous support from the Trucking Industry. The trucking industry has taken Wreaths Across America mission and moved it forward. What stated as one donated tractor trailer load of wreaths in 1992 has turned into over 500 donated loads of wreaths. The whole trucking industry has embraced the mission, from big and small trucking companies, to team drivers to individual owner operators! Without the support of the trucking industry it would be near impossible to "Move the Mission Forward!" To our dedicated volunteers who are hitting the pavement daily to spread the story of WAA, to the trucking industry who are our Rolling Ambassadors, to our corporate sponsors who have brought the mission into your company...Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Wreaths Across America Mission!
