The mission of the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at the University of Washington is to nurture and develop tomorrow’s engineering leaders in an environment of excellence in discovery with visionary researchers, by providing world-class undergraduate and graduate education in Electrical & Computer Engineering; conducting high-impact research of technical influence and recognized excellence; and addressing and formulating engineering solutions to aspects of the largest challenges facing humanity in health, energy, the environment, and in people-centric systems.
