About
The Mentoring Club is a pro bono platform where mentors and mentees meet and can schedule mentoring sessions, founded by Bastian Buch and Jessica Dewald in April 2020. It is originally been designed for (but not limited to) product management, engineering, as well as coaching on leadership, company culture and team scaling. The platform is as much for leaders who look for sparring partners as it is for younger people seeking advice in their function or start-up founders who look for particular expertise. The Mentoring Club is an open system, in which more mentors can join every day by contacting the two initiators and mentees can schedule sessions whenever they want with any of the mentors. How many sessions mentors offer and mentees take is upon them individually. The idea was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Jess and Bastian wanted to use their free time during work from home to do something good and bring positivity by easing access to learning and development for likeminded people of their profession. Already after two weeks the mentoring Club had grown to more than 15 mentors offering all kinds of pro bono sessions for the different functions needed in todays cross functional work environment in internet companies. By know sessions are available for product, engineering, design, marketing communication, brand building, human resources as well as the above mentioned coaching on leadership, company culture and team scaling.
