Friendship Ambassadors Foundation believes in empowering the next generation through youth leadership development and cultural exchange as a key to peace and sustainable development.
With a rich history spanning across decades, we have stayed true to our name as ambassadors of friendship as we work towards fostering global cooperation in every aspect of our work. Since our humble beginnings in 1973, our people-centered approach ranged from facilitating life-changing exchange programs between various cultures around the world to increasing youth engagement and participation on important issues at the global stage. Through our flagship program called The Youth Assembly, we have become one of the leading organizations that prepare the next generation of leaders and changemakers. The Youth Assembly continues to break new grounds by educating and inspiring tens of thousands of young people and generating countless youth-led projects around the world.
In 2015, FAF has officially been granted the Consultative Status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). This, along with our Consultative Status with UNESCO, adds a new dimension to our global recognition and advances our contribution to the work of the United Nations. The Foundation also continues to maintain our association with the UN Department of Public Information and is one of the 4,000 non-businesses involved with the UN Global Compact.
