About
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of DuPage County was founded by volunteers in April of 1993 with a mission to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in DuPage County’s juvenile court system. Organized around the core principle that all children deserve a safe, permanent, nurturing home, CASA is the only organization providing court ordered advocacy in DuPage County. Using highly trained volunteer advocates to assist one child at a time, CASA provides detailed and objective information to the court about every child’s case. Court appointed special advocates enable a juvenile court judge to make a well-informed decision that will result in a neglected and abused child being placed in a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.
