The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
We are the largest and oldest youth-serving organization in Milwaukee. Founded in 1887, we currently have 51 locations throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha County and serve more than 41,000 children and teens.
While all young people are welcome between the ages of 5 and 18, we place special emphasis on serving young people from disadvantaged circumstances. We are strategically located in areas with the greatest need. The majority of our members are children of color who come from single parent, low-income households in urban neighborhoods.
All programs and initiatives fall within at least one of six core service areas: Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Sports, Fitness & Recreation; The Arts; Health & Life Skills; and Outdoor & Environmental Education.
