Optiver was founded in 1986 as a market maker in equity options on the European Options Exchange (now Euronext) in Amsterdam. We have since then rapidly grown into a leading independent global arbitrage group, with offices in Amsterdam, Chicago and Sydney. From the outset we placed a strong emphasis upon a thorough understanding of the dynamics of derivatives pricing and markets. This remains crucial today.
