In 1965 Kent Ingram and his father, the late W.K. Ingram, founded Razorback Concrete Company. They began operations with a single ready-mix plant and six brand-new Mack mixer trucks. Today, 40 years later, Razorback Concrete is one of the largest suppliers of ready mix in Arkansas. There are now 16 Razorback Concrete plants and more than 100 mixer trucks serving the region, and the company has become a recognized leader in concrete technology. Razorback Concrete was among the first ready mix operators to install computer batching systems, central mixing facilities, and GPS delivery systems. The company is also well known for innovative new products and installation techniques. In 1985 the company opened a new division, RazorRock Materials, a sand and gravel-mining operation that now has four branches along Crowley's Ridge in Eastern Arkansas. RazorRock Materials provides an ample source of high-quality coarse and fine materials for concrete, asphalt, and base material needs for Eastern Arkansas and the Mid-South. One thing has remained constant since the company was founded in 1965, and that's a commitment to quality. Every member of the Razorback Concrete team understands that excellence is the company's standard.
