Tindall is a family-owned company which came under the ownership of the Lowndes family in 1963 and rapidly gained expertise in manufacturing prestressed products. In 1986, the Lowndes family organized Tindall Concrete Georgia, Inc. with two precast prestressed production facilities purchased from Macon Prestressed Concrete Company at Jonesboro and Conley, Georgia, both within Metropolitan Atlanta. In 1988, the Lowndes family organized Tindall Concrete Virginia, which constructed a new plant near Petersburg for the production of prestressed concrete products similar to those produced in South Carolina and Georgia. In 1995, Tindall opened a fully operational satellite facility in Biloxi, Mississippi. The five plant locations provide more than 350,000 square feet of covered production area. On January 1, 1998, the Tindall Corporation was formed. Formerly Tindall Concrete Products, Inc., the new corporation combined the Tindall group of corporations under one name. Tindall Corporation designs, manufactures and erects precast, prestressed concrete systems for various types of construction projects in the Southern and Middle Atlantic states and produces furnished precast concrete prison cells for sale throughout the lower forty-eight states.
