Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a promising method for capturing CO2 emissions from power stations and other large scale CO2 emission sources. C-Capture is a spin out from the University of Leeds, and has developed a low cost, energy efficient and safe technology which aims to capture CO2 from the flue gas streams of power stations. The technology developed has a much better environmental profile compared to current industrial standards and has proven to perform as well as, or better than, current alternatives providing a low-cost, efficient alternative for reducing the cost of removing carbon dioxide from flue gas emissions.
