As a sugar company, it remained successful for twenty-five years. In 1945, Maurice Kellner passed away, leaving the company to his son, H.J. (Hack) Kellner. H.J. Kellner turned the company into an institutional food business with a diversified array of items. Under H.J. Kellner's leadership, the company enjoyed continued success.
