Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Rogers Group Inc. provides crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt and highway construction to the southeastern United States. In 2009, the company was listed as the ninth largest aggregates producer in the nation (Aggregates Manager, March 2009). For the past several years, RGI has remained the largest privately owned company in the aggregates industry.
As of May 2011, RGI employs approximately 1,600 people and operates approximately 70 crushed stone and asphalt plants in Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee.
Rogers Group has been recognized for its efforts in the areas of safety, business ethics, community relations and industry contributions in the form of awards from trade associations such as the National Stone Sand and Gravel Association, the National Asphalt Pavement Association and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association. Individual locations have also been recognized for these efforts by state-specific trade organizations such as the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association, the Tennessee Road Builders Association and the Indiana Mineral Aggregates Association.
