FlorStar maintains a competitive advantage through its cross-docking logistics system. We utilize our Romeoville facility to sort and distribute flooring to our other locations. Trucks depart Romeoville organized by order to eliminate the need for a second sorting function. When shipments arrive at their regional destination, warehouse teams remove product from the truck and ship them to the end customer. The result is that each cross-dock center need not carry significant inventory or pick orders. From our inception we have represented Armstrong, the most venerable and well-known manufacturer of hard surface flooring. Indeed, FlorStar is Armstrong's "platform" distributor, serving as the only source in the industry for all of Armstrong's flooring products and brands, including Armstrong vinyl, laminate, ceramic, hardwood, and Armstrong Commercial floors; Bruce Hardwood, Bruce Laminate, Capella Hardwood Floors, Global Exotics, Homerwood, and Robbins. FlorStar additionally is proud to sell and service Wilsonart laminate flooring, Lauzon Distinctive Hardwoods, Karelia, QuCork, Mullican, Weyerhaeuser, Lytpus, Interceramic, North American by Mapei, Endura, Sika adhesives, Sound Seal underlayments, and VPI wall base, rubber product, and specialty tile. We also offer soft service goods consistent with our goal of providing only the finest, high-quality brands, proudly representing both Milliken Carpet and Healthier Choice padding. We offer unique capabilities to pull these brands together for our retailers and likewise provide a host of merchandising options, including custom private-labeling for interested retail partners.
