The name Beadles comes from our founder John Clayton Beadle, who established the company as coachmakerâ??s in Lowfield Street Dartford in 1893.\r\n\r\nThe company was then incorporated in 1915, that is to say it became a limited company trading as Beadles Dartford Limited operating from new premises in Spital Street Dartford, and this company still trades today, as our Volkswagen retailer in Princes Road Dartford.\r\n\r\nHaving been established since 1915 our heritage is steeped in the tradition of providing quality products and customer service. \r\n\r\nIn the mid 1930â??s Johnâ??s daughter Nancy, married Reginald Rootes. Rootes was already a successful motor manufacturer and retailer, indeed his name lives on through the Peugeot dealer â??Rootes of Maidstoneâ??. In 1969 Beadles acquired premises in Main Road Sidcup operating the Rover franchise. On 20th December 1955 John Clayton Beadles died at the age of 83 leaving a son, daughter and the name of the company he founded. The business then transferred to Sir Reginald and Lady Nancy's son Timothy, who in April 1987 sold it to the companyâ??s senior managers, who founded Beadles Group Limited, and are still very much involved with the business today.\r\n\r\nBeadles Group now represents Land Rover, Nissan, Skoda, Toyota, Vauxhall and Volkswagen from ten motor retail centres across Kent.
