Calico has evolved dramatically since it was founded as a modest little store in 1948 in Bedford Village, New York. Then, Calico specialized in selling seconds of designer fabrics — when a huge gulf existed between what was available to the trade and what was available to consumers at retail. If you wanted high quality fabrics, you had to go to an interior designer. Fast-forward sixty years. Calico sells first quality designer fabrics and custom upholstered furniture and custom labor to turn our beautiful fabrics into beautiful finished products.
