About
Established in 1968, SRPEDD is a regional planning agency (one of 13 across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts), responsible for serving the twenty-seven municipalities (four cities and twenty-three towns) which make up the Southeastern part of the state. A rapidly growing organization of currently 25 professional planners, the agency assists member local governments with everything from grant writing and program administration, to the development of Master Plans, Corridor Studies, Bylaw Updates, Housing Production Plans, Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program Plans, Open Space and Recreation Plans, the Complete Streets Program, Roadway Safety Audits, Traffic Counting, Pavement Management, and more. In addition, the agency is also home to the Southeast Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMMPO), and Southeast Regional Homeland Security Advisory Council (SRAC), among other regional bodies.
