The Animal Welfare League of South Australia (AWL) is an animal welfare and care provider recognised for the provision and development of services for animals in need.
Established in 1964, the AWL operates the state's largest animal shelter at Wingfield, as well as a Shelter at Edinburgh North, caring for approximately 12,000 cats and dogs each year.
The AWL's focus is the re-homing of lost, surrendered and abandoned animals and reuniting lost pets with their owners.
The AWL is proud of its contribution in providing high-quality animal care facilities and related services to the state's animals, their owners and the broader community.
