About
Wesleyan Assurance Society has been helping people secure their financial futures for over 175 years. Established during the Industrial Revolution, our original purpose was to help Birminghamâ??s factory workers save so that they had money for sickness and funeral expenses.\n\nOver the years weâ??ve stood strong in an ever changing and often challenging world. We have survived two world wars, global depressions and more recently the financial crisis of 2008 that saw the collapse or bailout of some of the biggest names in financial services.\n\nWe have remained a financially strong business over the years and this has allowed us to take a long-term view. We donâ??t react to short-term events but stay focused on what will deliver the best outcomes for our members and customers in the future. Today we specialise in supporting some of societyâ??s most trusted professions to achieve their financial goals. \n\nThis includes doctors, dentists, teachers and lawyers. \n\nWe aspire to build life-long relationships with our customers providing specialist financial advice from Wesleyan Financial Services through graduation to retirement and beyond.\n\nOur mutual status is as important to us today as it was to our founding fathers all those years ago. As a mutual, we donâ??t have shareholders so we can work to benefit those who invest in our business â?? our customers and members. That is why we say â??we are all about youâ??.\n\nWe're extremely proud of our 175+ year history and believe that this continued success is driven by our vibrant, inclusive and diverse workforce.\n\nWe encourage and empower our people, helping them make a difference in whichever role they fill. \n\nAt Wesleyan we believe in you.
