About
The Lotteries Commission was established in 1932 and is known today as Lotterywest. It held its first lottery and made its first grants distribution in March 1933. Lotterywest is unique in that it not only has the responsibility for operating the lottery in Western Australia, it also has the role of distributing a proportion of the funds raised for its beneficiaries directly to charitable and community organisations through Lotterywest’s grant programs. Lotterywest offer a range of lottery games including Set for Life, Saturday Lotto, Monday and Wednesday Lotto, OZ Lotto, Powerball and Soccer Pools, Cash 3 and Super66. They also sell instant lotteries under the brand of Scratch’n’Win. These products are sold through a network of small businesses across our State, through our ‘Play Online’ Internet service and via our Lotterywest mobile App. Every year we give hundreds of millions of dollars to support our State’s health services, arts, sport and recreation and thousands of community groups who make a real difference to Western Australia. Further information about our organisation is available on the Lotterywest website at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au
