In the late spring of 1908, Jacob Firth, a Seattle Financier, and three Port Orchard men, George E. Miller, Peter Nordby and Superior Court Judge John B. Yakey met to organize the Kitsap County Bank. Peter Nordby was elected the bank's first President at the meeting. The force of the bank today is 26 locations in sixcounties and over three dozen ATMs. It includes 4 mortgage offices, the SBA Loan Department, and a web site that includes on-line banking for personal and business accounts.
