Founded by award-winning VFX Supervisors and Producers in June 2013, the team has created visual effects for feature films Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (Warner Bros.); Kingsman: The Golden Circle (Lionsgate); The Martian (20th Century Fox); Ben Wheatley's Free Fire and High-Rise; Jason Bourne (Universal); The Divergent Series: Insurgent (Lionsgate/Summit); Poltergeist (Fox/MGM); Everest (Universal); Brett Ratner?s Hercules (Paramount/MGM); Dracula Untold (Universal) and for television productions including Sherlock (BBC/Hartswood); Phillip K Dick's Electric Dreams (Channel 4/Left Bank/Sony/Amazon); Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (BBC), Doctor Who (BBC); The Last Dragonslayer (Sky); Class (BBC);Thunderbirds Are Go (ITV); Beowulf (ITV); The Loch (ITV) as well as Virtual Reality film Tree (New Reality Company).
We?re proud to have won three consecutive BAFTA Television Craft Awards for our work on BBC dramas Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (2016) and Doctor Who (2014 and 2015) and seven BAFTA Craft Award nominations. Milk won an Emmy Award for the BBC/Hartswood's Sherlock in 2016; and Milk co-founder Sara Bennett became the first woman in twenty years to win an Oscar for best VFX on the film Ex-Machina at the 88th Academy Awards.
In June 2017 Milk appointed Ivan Dunleavy as Chairman and received long-term investment from the Business Growth Fund to develop and expand the business.
Milk was named one of the top 100 fastest growing British tech companies in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 in September 2017.
Our recent work includes UK special venue theatrical project ?Dinosaurs In the Wild? which saw us create a ground-breaking rendering solution to process almost 80 million frames using Google Cloud Platform, in just 10 weeks.
