Small PT clinics are often bought by large ones. The 1:1 personal touch is gone, and replaced with the PT 'mill' - patients in/out. That's not what the owners of several AZ PT companies wanted. They believed in patients-first, more 1:1 with a PT, more manual therapy. So, each purchase offer was rejected, regardless of gain. To best protect the values of their own successful practices, they decided to merge. Initially there were 5 companies, but 2 more joined them as they went along. In Aug 2018, they legally became Empower PT. They now had clinics in AZ, CA and LA. Instantly, they were the 2nd largest PT company in AZ, with 22 clinics. Three more in CA and one in LA set the stage for future growth.
They have remained true to their beliefs by maximizing manual therapy, accommodating patient needs, community participation, and helping others to be stronger, healthier. These simple practices led to the formation of the company's Purpose:
Strengthening Lives Through Helping Others
